Plumber shares his experience installing a Compact Electric Water Heater

Since 2021, a Queensland-based plumber (@Plumberuss) has been sharing his day-to-day plumbing jobs across social media. Over Tiktok and Youtube Shorts, his most viral content has included video timelapses of repairs and replacements of garden taps and water pipes – amassing over 30 million views.

In partnership with Bromic, Plumberuss has recently posted a video sharing his experience installing the Bromic 5L storage electric water heater. This compact water heater is designed to fit near a sink and can be connected to an everyday 240 volt powerpoint – making it a convenient install solution. It can be purchased as an under-sink or over-sink model and is available at a range of plumbing supply stores in Australia and New Zealand – including Reece, Tradelink and Plumbing Plus.

“The homeowner didn’t have a hot water line close by so they decided to go with an under-sink model that plugs straight into a 240 volt powerpoint.” Plumberuss said.

“It’s a neat little unit that in most cases easily fits under a kitchen sink and you only need a cold water connection to the mixer.”

In his installation video, Plumberuss shares how he installed the Bromic water heater under a homeowner’s sink – connecting it to an isolator with the water connection hose supplied with Bromic water heater.

After turning on the tap and filling up the heater with water, Plumberuss plugs in the power cable and turns the water heater on. After just 5.5 minutes, hot water at the tap is ready for the homeowner to use.

Once the Bromic Compact Water Heater is filled, the heater can be connected to an everyday 240V powerpoint. Hot water is ready to use at the tap in a little over 5 minutes.
