Can you change the temp on the Heat-Flo ™ Blow Heaters?

No. Each heater has a set gas input and there is only 1 flame. Get a smaller or larger heater size for smaller or larger flame.

How does the black dial on the HF30/50 models work?

It is a temperature dial. It controls the thermal cut off switch for if the room temperature gets too high. Best to turn all the way up so it doesn’t cut the heater off prematurely.

Which gas cylinder do I use?

The heaters sold with the POL fitting (the HF30 and HF50 models and older HF15 and HF20 models) require a 45kg cylinder as these have been tested and approved to the relevant standards using the 45kg cylinder. The newer models of HF15 and HF20 have type 27 connections and these should be used with a 4.5kg or 9kg cylinder with the new type 27 connection. (The reason the larger ones aren’t made for the smaller cylinders is they will only last a couple of hours on them, and possibly freeze due to the high gas flow required).

Does the gas/cylinder expire?

No, it doesn’t expire. The gas inside will stay pure until it is used up. The gas cylinder cannot be refilled though.

Is the Map-Pro 400g Gas cylinder resealable?

The cylinders are pin activated, so when the regulator is removed, the gas will not leak.

Can I refill a Map-Pro 400g Gas cylinder?

No, the cylinders are disposable and shall not be refilled.

Is the air admittance valve UV rated?

No, the Air Admittance Valve (110mm) and the Air Admittance Valve (with Adaptor for 32-40-50mm) are intended for in cupboard use, not on roofs.

Where were the regulators manufactured?

The 250 MJ and 500 MJ manual dual stage regulator, 400 MJ auto dual stage regulator and 160MJ dual stage regulator kit are manufactured in Italy, by Cavagna.

Can the regulators be installed vertically or horizontally?

No, they must be installed with the vent facing down as per the manual.

Does the vent have a threaded connection?

When using the 250MJ or 500MJ manual dual stage regulator and the160MJ dual-stage regulator kit, no, it’s for outdoor use only.

When using the 400MJ auto dual stage regulator, yes, 3/8” NPT F.
